2020 NFL Draft: Best available players heading into day three

The Jets are scheduled to make the 14th, 19th and 23rd pick today and then three more selections later on. Here - via NBC Sports - are the 20 highest rated players still remaining:

LB Akeem Davis-Gaither, App State
T Hakeem Adeniji, Kansas
CB Reggie Robinson, Tulsa
DB Amik Robertson, Louisiana Tech
IOL Netane Muti, Fresno State
EDGE Curtis Weaver, Boise State
OL Cameron Clark, UNC Charlotte
DB L’Jarius Sneed, Louisiana Tech
DB Troy Pride, Notre Dame
CB Josiah Scott, Michigan State
T Saahdiq Charles, LSU
OL Ben Bartch, St. Johns
EDGE Trevis Gipson, Tulsa
T Prince Tega Wanogho, Auburn
CB John Reid, Penn State
QB Jacob Eason, Washington
WR Darnell Mooney, Tulane
WR John Hightower, Boise State
IDL Leki Fotu, Utah
S K’Von Wallace, Clemson

At this stage the Jets may simply opt for a best player available approach, but if they do look to address needs, these are players they might have interest in later on:

EDGE Khalid Kareem, Notre Dame
CB Bryce Hall, Virginia
WR Antonio Gandy-Golden, Liberty
CB Darnay Holmes, UCLA
CB Kindle Vildor, Georgia Southern
WR Donovan Peoples-Jones, Michigan
WR KJ Hill, Ohio State
CB Rashard Robinson, JMU
WR Tyler Johnson, Minnesota
EDGE Alton Robinson, Syracuse
IOL Tyler Biadasz, Wisconsin
EDGE Bradlee Anae, Utah
C Nick Harris, Washington
IOL Kevin Dotson, ULL
CB Essang Bassey, Wake Forest

Finally, some players who could address lesser needs:

  • Backup Quarterbacks Jake Fromm (Georgia), Jacob Eason (Washington) or Anthony Gordon (Washington State);
  • Running Backs Jason Huntley (New Mexico State), Anthony McFarland (Maryland) or JJ Taylor (Arizona);
  • Tight Ends Albert Okwuegbunam (Missouri) or Harrison Bryant (FAU); and
  • Interior Defensive linemen Jason Strowbridge (UNC), Malcolm Roach (Texas) or James Lynch (Baylor).

Look for them to perhaps target a kicker or punter in the late rounds or certainly in undrafted free agency too.

Let us know in the comments who you'd take with the first pick and who you have your eye on for later.
