5/5/17 - Daily Check-In

Good morning and welcome to today's coverage here at JetsFix.com.

The big news is that the Jets' rookie mini-camp gets underway today, so we should finally receive confirmation of the undrafted free agent signings and hopefully everyone who is there on a tryout basis.

In case you missed it, the Jets cut three players and re-signed Bruce Carter. The biggest name to be let go was starting safety Marcus Gilchrist, whose role will no doubt be filled by one of the rookies drafted last week. You can read about and discuss those moves here:

We broke down one of the offseason acquisitions, wide receiver Quinton Patton, in-depth yesterday, with a particular eye on his similarities to third round pick ArDarius Stewart. You can review that here:

Scouting Report: Quinton Patton

Also, hopefully for the last time, here is the updated UDFA tracker, which has again been updated overnight and now contains almost 40 names, along with links to analysis on each player.
