Breaking: Jets hire Duker as new defensive coordinator

The Jets have filled one of their vacancies:

The Jets are hiring Brian Duker as their defensive coordinator, per sources.

Duker, 36, most recently was the Dolphins’ pass game coordinator/secondary. He’s close with Aaron Glenn from their days with the Lions and now reunites with him in New York. pic.twitter.com/CPjwCKangn

With Duker having worked under Glenn in the past, this could be a situation which fits in with the recent speculation about Glenn taking over defensive playcalling with a younger colleague to oversee the defensive system.
