Breaking: Jets to release Terrelle Pryor
The Jets made a surprising move today:
Jets are releasing WR Terrelle Pryor today, per league source. Pryor has a tear in his groin and is expected to be out about two weeks. Jets interested in bringing him back when healthy, but other teams also likely to be interested.

Pryor had been looking good over the past few games, scoring two touchdowns in the past two weeks. However, the Jets need his roster spot and are obviously prepared to take the risk that someone else will pick him up.
Speaking to ESPN's Rich Cimini a day or so ago, Pryor said he was hoping to play on Sunday and planning to dominate if he did.
The Jets are expected to activate rookie wide receiver Deontay Burnett from the practice squad today but we'll update once that's confirmed.
