Breaking: Jets trade DE Johnson for DT Sweat

The Jets are making a surprise move:

Trade! The Titans have agreed to send NT T’Vondre Sweat to the Jets for DE Jermaine Johnson, per sources.

This reunites a former pro bowler who was still in the process of overcoming a 2024 Achilles tear with his former head coach.

For the Jets it gives them a huge space stuffer who will surely make them more stout up the middle against the run.

Moreover it may provide clues as to which way they might be leaning in terms of their draft approach and maybe even who they will pick at No.2.
