Buzz: Could the Jets sign Larry Ogunjobi?

Apparently the Jets are looking into adding some more veteran reinforcements on defense:

Although it's May and Ogunjobi was without a deal, this is not a situation where they're just bringing someone in on a low-cost deal. Ogunjobi had agreed to a deal worth $13.5 million per season with the Bears in free agency but failed his physical. He had suffered a foot injury in the playoffs.

Ogunjobi had a career-high seven sacks last year but his run defense grades were poor. In fact, his overall grades have reduced in each season since his rookie year.

The 27-year old former third round pick spent four seasons with the Browns before moving to the Bengals in 2021.

If the Jets were to sign him to a significant deal, they will likely need to make some cap-saving moves in the weeks ahead.
