Buzz: Jets to hire Shawn Jefferson as new receivers coach

The coaching staff is continuing to fill out the remaining vacancies:

Adam Gase is hiring Shawn Jefferson to be the Jets WR coach, per source. Jefferson had the same role for Gase in Miami. #nyj

Jefferson racked up over 7,000 receiving yards in a 13-year NFL career that included a stint in New England. In addition to coaching under Gase for the past three years, he was the receivers coach on the 2013 Titans, for whom new offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains was the offensive coordinator.

Karl Dorrell, the outgoing receivers coach, had been in that role with the Jets since 2015. He's recently been linked with a move to the Packers.
