Buzz: RB Ballage fails physical, nullifying trade
The Jets were down to just two healthy running backs today, following an injury to rookie La'Mical Perine. However, they were anticipating some reinforcements early next week. Not so fast...
More intrigue for former #Dolphins RB Kalen Ballage, who was to be traded to the #Jets: Source said he failed his physical with #NYJ because of a hamstring injury. So Ballage reverts back to MIA, who likely releases him. He could end up back with the #Jets when healed.

Even if Ballage does end up being released and then ends up with the Jets, this move clearly isn't going to provide them with the immediate depth they need right now.
You can perhaps expect them to bring back Pete Guerriero, but even he would probably have to pass through Covid-19 protocols before he can rejoin the team. The severity of Josh Adams' hamstring injury is not known and while word is the Jets believe Perine's injury is "just a sprain", it was severe enough that he had to be carted off.
So much for any plans to move Le'Veon Bell to wide receiver...
