Buzz: RB Thomas Rawls to work out for Jets

The Jets have six running backs under contract but may still be prepared to bring in some veteran competition:

The 24-year old Rawls was undrafted in 2015, but exploded onto the scene in his rookie year, rushing for 830 yards and four touchdowns. However, in the last two seasons, he's had some injury issues and averaged just three yards per carry, although he did have two 100-yard games, including a 161-yard game in the postseason.

The Seahawks' offensive line was one of the league's worst in 2016 and 2017 so perhaps he has the potential to be more productive with better run blocking ahead of him. Ultimately, signing him would probably just be a low-risk flyer.
