DraftFix: 2018 Scouting Combine gets underway

The 2018 NFL Scouting Combine is now underway. The first players will have been registered yesterday and interviews and orientation are underway.

While on-field workouts don't begin until Friday (running until Monday), there are still a few things to watch out for over the next few days:

Press conferences will be held today, during which both Mike Maccagnan and Todd Bowles are among those scheduled to talk to the media.

With the majority of the NFL's decision-makers in the same venue look out for plenty of news of contract extensions, trades and free agency rumors over the next couple of days.

The first group of players, which includes offensive linemen and running backs will be measured today and will carry out the bench press tomorrow. They'll be the first group working out on the field on Friday.

The next group, which includes wide receivers, quarterbacks and tight ends will be measured on Thursday and carrying out the bench press on Friday. They'll be on the field on Saturday.

By way of a more detailed preview, here's an article from Rotoworld's Josh Norris, in which he shares links and insights, underlining the importance of certain drills and highlighting his top prospect that he expects to stand out.
