DraftFix: Pro Day Recap #3

Between now and the draft, we'll have a few updates to highlight some of the most interesting numbers from draft prospects at their pro day workouts. Here is part three, featuring some of the notable ones from the pro days so far up to the end of last week:

Michigan State

There were impressive numbers from the likes of defensive back Devynn Cromwell (40.5-inch vertical, 135-inch broad jump), as well as defensive tackles RuQuan Buckley (32 reps) and Grady Kelly (33.5-inch vertical, 22 bench press reps). Crowmwell and Kelly's jump numbers would have placed them in the top-3 at their respective positions at the combine.

North Dakota State

Cornerback Anthony Chideme-Alfaro turned some heads with a 36.5-inch vertical and 128-inch broad jump.

Utah

Possibly the biggest news here was Spencer Fano's arm length. He was only an eighth of an inch over 32 inches at the combine but was remeasured here and was an eighth of an inch shy of 33. That's a three-quarters of an inch increase. He also racked up 30 bench press reps.

BYU

Wide receiver Chase Roberts hurt his stock at the combine by only running 4.64, but he improved that to 4.51 here. Cornerback Mory Bamba stole the headlines though, as he was clocked unofficially at sub-4.2 in the 40-yard dash. The official time was 4.27. Defensive tackle Kaufusi Pakofe turned heads in the weight room with 39 bench press reps. He's a 340-pounder who could perhaps switch to guard.

Michigan

Edge Derrick Moore did not test at the combine but hit a 115-inch broad jump and 30-inch vertical here. Both are slightly below average. Defensive tackle Rayshaun Benny posted unimpressive agility numbers at 298, although he is nursing a turf toe injury.

Missouri

Edge defender Zion Young continues to look like a potential first round pick as he ran a 4.70, but he wasn't the only Tiger to impress. Linebacker Khalil Jacobs ran 4.55 and had a 40-inch vertical and 133-inch broad jump. In addition, wide receiver Kevin Coleman reportedly shaved a full tenth off his 4.49 combine forty.

Baylor

Wide receiver Kole Wilson was the main standout with a workout that included a 38.5-inch vertical jump.

Boston College

Wide receiver Lewis Bond was considered a combine snub after a productive career, but showed his athleticism here with an unofficial 4.5 in the 40-yard dash.

Iowa

Versatile offensive lineman Gennings Dunker drew a lot of interest and reportedly ran an estimated 5.05 in the 40.

LSU

Cornerback Mansoor Delane, who some had projected to be the first cornerback selected, stole the show with a 4.35 in the 40, but linebacker Harold Perkins Jr. (4.40 in the 40, 35-inch vertical, 124-inch vertical, 20 reps) and wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr. (4.41, 38-inch, 122-inch) also helped their stock.

Miami

Jets linebacker Kiko Mauigoa's brother, Francis Mauigoa is a potential top-10 pick and the offensive tackle tipped the scales at 329 pounds, then ran 5.12 and posted a 29-inch vertical and a broad jump of 106 inches. The big winner was cornerback Keionte Scott, whose 4.33 now has him getting some potential first round buzz. He also posted a 34-inch vertical and 123-inch broad.

SMU

Tight end Matthew Hibner was called the day's big winner as he posted a 116-inch broad jump, 4.33 short shuttle and 7.40 three cone but these numbers are actually pretty mediocre.

We'll have another update next week...
