DraftFix: Pro Day Recap #5

In recent weeks, we've been giving updates to highlight some of the most interesting numbers from draft prospects at their pro day workouts. Here is the final part:

Wake Forest

Linebacker Dylan Hazen had an impressive display with a 4.60 in the 40-yard dash, a 39-inch vertical and 26 bench press reps.

Florida

Kicker Trey Smack made a big impression with a 65-yard field goal, while offensive lineman Jake Slaughter and edge defender George Gumbs each posted 22 bench press reps.

Pittsburgh

Deuce Spann had the best day as the 6'4" wide receiver ran a 4.40 and posted a 38-inch vertical. Defensive end Joey Zelinsky also had a good day with a 4.77 and 26 bench press reps.

TCU

Linebacker Kaleb Elarms-Orr followed up a solid combine workout with decent agility numbers as he posted a 4.32 short shuttle and 7.1 three-cone drill. Tight end DJ Rogers also helped his stock by running 4.63 and posting a 4.37 short shuttle.

Arizona State

Wide receiver Jordyn Tyson was unable to work out due to a hamstring issue so he'll be privately working out for teams in two weeks. Cornerback Keith Abney II did work out, though and ran a 4.45.

Florida State

Defensive back Jerry Wilson stole the show with a 4.31 in the 40-yard dash.

Houston

Running back Dean Connors had a decent performance as he ran a 4.45 and impressed with his receiving skills in drills.

Mississippi State

Tight end Seydou Traore was viewed as a combine snub so he needed a good display here and impressed by running 4.57 at 244 pounds. He also posted a 40-inch vertical and 127-inch broad jump. Running back Davon Booth allayed concerns about his speed with a 4.43 in the 40.

Tennessee

Cornerback Jermod McCoy who missed the entire season as he recovered from an ACL tear in 2024 ran 4.37 and posted a 37-inch vertical and 127-inch broad jump to boost his hopes of being the first corner selected. Colton Hood also has a shot at being a first round corner and he also helped his stock by running a 4.41.

Indiana

Cornerback D'Angelo Ponds weighed in eight pounds heavier than at the combine and boosted his stock with a 4.31 in the 40-yard dash and a 43.5-inch vertical.

We'll have more draft coverage over the next few weeks...
