DraftFix: Pro Days - Iowa State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M

Over the next month we'll be updating you on how draft prospects are faring at most of the main pro day workouts.

Iowa State

Wide receiver Allen Lazard had already impressed at the combine, but he added a couple of inches to his broad jump and ran 7.11 in the three-cone drill, which he didn't do at the combine.

Linebacker Spencer Lanning who was a dual-threat quarterback a year ago has a chance to make it to the NFL on defense. He ran a 40-yard dash in the low 4.7's and posted 26 bench press reps. Lanning was also asked to try out as a fullback for the Raiders.

Kansas

Dorance Armstrong is a pass rusher who could potentially interest the Jets with their second or third pick if he falls far enough. He didn't improve his 40-time or broad jump but added three inches to his vertical and five reps to his bench press.

Ole Miss

The rebels have a few NFL prospects, led by defensive tackle Breeland Speaks, who opted to stick with his combine results.

Edge defender Marquis Haynes impressed with a 4.56 40-yard dash, an improvement of 0.11 seconds.

Running back Jordan Wilkins didn't run a 40 at the combine due to a hamstring injury but posted a solid 4.51 time yesterday.

Texas A&M

The big story was Johnny Manziel who threw again for multiple teams and met with the New England Patriots before and after. Wide receiver Christian Kirk is the Aggies best prospect and he reportedly impressed in pass catching and special teams drills.

Safety Armani Watts didn't run a 40-yard dash at the combine, but posted a time in the 4.5-to-4.6 range yesterday.

Defensive tackle Zaycoven Henderson was excluded from the event following a December assault arrest.

Appalachian State

Colby Gossett is Appalachian State's top prospect and there were just two scouts on hand as he opted to do drills only following a solid combine performance.

Stephen F. Austin

In similar fashion, defensive tackle John Franklin just did drills at SFA's pro day. There was some confusion on twitter, however, because a different John Franklin (a wide receiver) reportedly ran a 4.19 40-yard dash at FAU's pro day, although the official time was corrected to 4.40.
