DraftFix: Pro Days - USC, Boston College, Georgia, Pitt, UConn

Over the next month we'll be updating you on how draft prospects are faring at most of the main pro day workouts.

USC

The main decision-makers for the Jets were on hand to see quarterback Sam Darnold throw and he apparently did well, although he admitted he could have been better in the rain.

After suffering a hamstring injury at the combine, Ronald Jones II opted not to run a 40-yard dash here. He also dropped a Darnold pass in the throwing session. Wide receiver Deontay Burnett didn't run either.

Jets linebackers coach Mike Caldwell was on hand, perhaps to see Uche Nwosu or Rasheem Green. Nwosu did a full workout while Green did 23 bench press reps and stuck with his excellent combine numbers.

UConn

UConn's best draft prospect is defensive tackle Foley Fatukasi. After an excellent combine workout where his results apart from his non-essential 40-time were excellent, he opted just to do position drills at his pro day.

Pittsburgh

Safety Jordan Whitehead did not run at the combine, but posted a solid 40-time reportedly timed at 4.5. Diminutive wideout Quadree Henderson - a return specialist - knocked a tenth off his 40-time by running a 4.4.

Three other draftable prospects - wide receiver Jester Weah, tackle Brian O'Neill and cornerback Avonte Maddox - opted not to run after posting solid combine scores.

Boston College

The top prospect for BC is edge rusher Harold Landry, who calls himself the best player at his position in the draft. Landry had an excellent combine so he just did drills yesterday.

Cornerbacks Isaac Yiadom (4.49) and Kamrin Moore (4.53) both posted reasonable times in the 40. That was a slight improvement for Yiadom - a senior bowl standout. Moore didn't run at the combine.

Georgia

Linebacker Roquan Smith was the main attraction at Georgia's pro day, which was attended by Bill Belichick.

Smith, running backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel and outside linebacker Lorenzo Carter did not run after having posted good combine results. Another outside linebacker, Davin Bellamy did not run at the combine due to a hamstring injury. He was still not able to run but did post 19 bench press reps. He and Carter also did defensive line and linebacker drills.

Offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn is recovering from surgery to repair a torn labrum so he did not work out either.

Wide receiver Javon Wyms, a combine snub, ran a 4.47 in the 40.

Finally, defensive tackle Trenton Thompson had a good combine but some reports said he looked bad yesterday, although it was suggested that might have been due to an injury.
