Free Agency Update: Norwell, Robinson, Keenum off the market
As the Jets fanbase starts to panic that Mike Maccagnan is "asleep at the wheel" or "Idzik 2.0" some of the top free agents were signed last night.
At least he snubbed the Giants:
Former Panthers’ G Andrew Norwell intends to sign with the Jaguars on a 5-year deal for $66.5 million, including $30M fully guaranteed, source tells ESPN. He is going to become NFL’s highest paid guard - $13.3 million average.

The top wide receiver is off the market too:
WR Allen Robinson just told me he intends to sign a “3-year, $42M dollar deal with the #Bears.” #TeamNoSleep https://t.co/G6oNqZDdKq

And, the first domino has fallen in the free agent quarterback market, with Denver apparently unconvinced that there was much difference between Kirk Cousins and Case Keenum and opting to go for the cheaper fix. Terms were undisclosed, but:
Source with knowledge of the talks estimates that Case Keenum is expected to get between $18 million to $20 million per year.

Admittedly, basically everyone was 99.9% certain this was a leverage play, but you can kill off this pipe dream for good too:
Hearing that Brees will be re-upping with the Saints for 2 years / 48 million. Sorry Vikings fans.
