How the hell am I supposed to know who this is? - Dean Clark
In an occasional feature, we briefly highlight any of the lesser-known players that make an unexpected impact during camp, preseason or the regular season.
Today, we focus on safety Dean Clark:
What he did:
After the first game, Clark's roster chances were looking slim as he was stuck on the third unit and had a key missed tackle that led to a 39-yard touchdown against the Packers.
However, against the Giants, Clark stepped up big time with a trio of impact plays.

Outlook:
This is the kind of preseason impact that earns you a longer look. If Clark gets to work with the second unit this week and does well, then maybe they will see enough potential in him to keep him on the roster.
His chances may be tied to those of Jarius Monroe, who looked like he had a good chance to make the 53 as a backup safety, especially because of his special teams contributions. However, on Saturday night, the Jets used Monroe as an outside cornerback. Maybe shuffling the pack to get the pieces to fit?
The starters look set to be Andre Cisco and Tony Adams, but with Isaiah Oliver also capable of playing a dual role, there could be room for a couple of pure safeties. Draft pick Malachi Moore looks safe but could Clark earn the other spot? He may need another impact performance on Friday night, but it's not out of the question.
