Injury News: Becton hurts knee, concerns heightened

Practice today was overshadowed when Mekhi Becton went down on the second play of 11-on-11 drills, to groans from the crowd.

Robert Saleh was optimistic after the practice, telling media the knee is stable and that they're not too concerned at this stage. Although Becton looked to be angry and in pain, he did make it to the locker room under his own power.

Update: Unfortunately the prognosis seems to have worsened:

#Jets OT Mekhi Becton’s knee injury is more concerning than the team originally believed following practice today, sources tell me and @RapSheet. It’s a new injury and unrelated to his previous knee injury. Becton has additional medical appointments tomorrow to get more clarity.
