Injury News: Fields cleared to return on Monday night
The final injury report of Dolphins week is out:
Fields has been practicing all week, so there's no surprise in seeing him cleared. Protecting him on Monday night should be a priority, though.
Johnson will presumably be back soon, otherwise he would have just gone on injured reserve. Aaron Glenn described him a few days ago as "week to week".
Without Johnson, the Jets could keep the same four defensive end rotation as they had last week but the improved health in the secondary and Fields' return could mean there is room to elevate someone like Eric Watts to add depth there.
Miami has issues at cornerback, but the starters Rasul Douglas and Jack Jones did well against the Bills. Miami could use Minkah Fitzpatrick in the slot to mitigate this issue.
