Injury Report: Reed, Hardee and Echols ruled out

The final injury report of Eagles week is out:

Reed being out despite practicing yesterday is disappointing. Obviously Sauce Gardner also being out would be a disaster but apparently the Jets weren't concerned about his status. It's never good to see someone showing up on the injury report on a Friday though - in Gipson's case that could mean he got hurt today and his status is uncertain. If he's out, could Mecole Hardman get an unexpected chance to contribute?

As noted yesterday, the Jets might opt to make Clemons inactive and have a healthy Carl Lawson active instead this week to give Clemons the bye week to get back to 100 percent.

It's likely Irv Charles and Bryce Hall will take the primary gunner roles this week, although Ashtyn Davis could also be an option with Hall set to start. Alternatively they will probably elevate Craig James again and he could do it.

For the Eagles, there are also extensive issues:

The midweek loss of Carter is potentially damaging, as is Slay and Evans both being out. Josh Jobe will fill in at cornerback for Slay, but the Eagles have plenty of interior depth on defense with Fletcher Cox, Milton Williams and Jordan Davis. Evans is listed as a starter at safety although Terrell Edmunds also gets a lot of reps. The Eagles like to play three safety sets though - and the only other safety on the roster is questionable too.
