Injury Report: Two out and two doubtful for Sunday
The final injury report of Titans week is here:
It's disappointing that D'Angelo Ponds won't be ready to make his debut but the Jets have plenty of other options both outside and in the slot. Jarvis Brownlee will man the slot with Minkah Fitzpatrick available as cover and Nahshon Wright backing up on the outside.
Nwangwu keeps getting injured, which is frustrating, but he's so good that the Jets will still see the value in him being on the roster. His return duties can be handled by Isaiah Davis and Isaiah Williams and his gunner duties can be shared between Qwan'tez Stiggers, Arian Smith and Dane Belton.
Patrick also being out ensures Smith will be active, while we already knew the Jets would be one short in the edge department, as previously discussed.
New York also confirmed that Jason Sanders will be elevated to be the kicker this week, so Blake Grupe will be inactive. That means there's just one other potential elevation, which could perhaps be Nate Lynn.
The Titans ruled out starting linebacker Cedric Gray with a concussion as expected.
