Injury update: Darnold officially ruled out for Sunday

As expected, the Jets have ruled Sam Darnold out for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Darnold did not practice all week.

The bad news doesn't stop there though as the Jets are also expected to be without Marcus Maye and James Carpenter, each of whom has been listed as doubtful. Terrence Brooks or Rontez Miles would start for Maye, whereas Jonotthan Harrison, Brent Qvale and Dakota Dozier are all candidates to start with Carpenter out of the lineup.

Having missed practice all week, Robby Anderson practiced on a limited basis today and is listed as questionable. Brandon Copeland is also listed as questionable for Sunday.

Over in New England, Tom Brady missed practice today. He's been dealing with a knee injury from when he fell on his face during a gadget play last week. Presumably this was just precautionary.
