Injury Update: Maye, Martin and Kearse miss practice

The Jets issued their first injury report of the new season and the following players missed practice:

  • Jermaine Kearse, who recently had a procedure on his abdomen, but was at least in uniform for the first time in a while today;
  • Marcus Maye, who apparently has a foot issue, unconnected to his offseason ankle surgery and has been practicing "on and off"; and
  • Josh Martin, who suffered a concussion in the Giants game.

Avery Williamson and new signing Jeremiah Attaochu were limited with a hamstring and calf issue respectively.

Among players who practiced in full were Kelvin Beachum and Steve McLendon, neither of whom played in preseason.

The Lions had no injuries to report.

In other news, Todd Bowles has confirmed that Jason Myers will be the kicker on Monday night. The Jets worked out Dan Bailey, Roberto Aguayo and Matt McShane, but apparently opted to stick with Myers.
