Injury update: Wilkerson returns to practice

Todd Bowles provided an injury update today with five players having missed practice and two limited.

However, the bigger news is that Muhammad Wilkerson - who some had speculated would be shut down for the rest of the year following his latest instance of insubordination - practiced in full.

Bowles was non-committal about Wilkerson's availability for Sunday, though. It's worth bearing in mind that if Wilkerson suffers an injury then the Jets could end up on the hook for his entire 2018 salary, so the possibility of retaining him or trying to trade him after the season is obviously still under consideration, otherwise they'd probably already have shut him down.

The players who missed practice included usual suspects Matt Forté, Morris Claiborne and Brian Winters. Elijah McGuire also missed out due to illness and Wesley Johnson has a hip injury.

Robby Anderson was limited with a hamstring injury and Leonard Williams was able to practice on a limited basis as he passes through the concussion protocol.
