Jets Camp Practice Recap - 8/15/22

The Jets held another camp practice today with media on hand, so here's what went down based on reports from those in attendance:

  • The Jets officially signed Duane Brown and released wide receiver Keshunn Abram before practice. Abram dropped his only target in Friday's game;
  • Brown was on the field (but working on conditioning on the side field), as was the returning DJ Reed;
  • Quinnen Williams and Eddy Pineiro did not participate;
  • Jason Pinnock had a good breakup of a Joe Flacco pass intended for Tyler Conklin in 7-on-7's;
  • In pass rush drills, Micheal Clemons beat Isaiah Williams on consecutive reps, then Bryce Huff beat Max Mitchell on consecutive reps;
  • Grant Hermanns was involved in yet another minor scuffle;
  • Flacco was sacked twice in five plays on an 11-on-11 series. John Franklin-Myers and Carl Lawson got to him with Jacob Martin also creating pressure;
  • Jordan Whitehead blew up an Ace Carter run in the backfield;
  • Garrett Wilson dropped a White pass over the middle;
  • Ahmad Gardner almost intercepted a Flacco pass intended for Elijah Moore, but he dropped the chance;
  • Bryce Huff sacked Flacco and then Bryce Hall batted a pass away from Corey Davis;
  • Luq Barcoo had a downfield breakup on a Chris Streveler pass;
  • Kwon Alexander blew up a screen pass with a big hit on Moore;
  • Flacco led a 10-play drive from midfield, with Breece Hall scoring on a 10-yard swing pass. Flacco was 4-for-6 on the drive;
  • The practice as a whole was described as "sloppy" with Flacco's performance "ok"; and
  • Greg Zuerlein made all four of his field goals with Pineiro not practicing.

The Jets are scheduled to practice again tomorrow morning.
