Jets coaching search: Mike drops out ... or does he?
The latest coaching search news from the last 24 hours...
The Jets interviewed their fourth head coach candidate - Dallas defensive backs coach Kris Richard - on Sunday.
However, the big news on Saturday was that Mike McCarthy was reported as not being likely to take the Jets job by Jason La Canfora, who suggested McCarthy will sit out the 2019 season. However, local media seems to be disputing that take and suggesting he's still very much in the mix.
Next up for the Jets is Todd Monken's interview tomorrow - although they may also have had a Matt Rhule interview planned during this trip to Texas.
Finally, there was one other report that affects one potential candidate for the Jets role:
On NBC, Mike Florio says Kliff Kingsbury, the USC offensive coordinator is a viable candidate to replace Josh McDaniels if he leaves as Patriots OC.

Could they be trying to spook the Jets into taking the plunge on an undesirable candidate?
We'll keep you posted with any further updates.
