Jets Practice Recap - 6/8/21

The Jets were on the field for the another practice on Tuesday with the media on hand again. Here's what went down, based on media reports and tweets from those in attendance:

  • The following players were not in attendance: Marcus Maye, Jamison Crowder, Mekhi Becton, Chris Herndon;
  • In attendance but not practicing today were Lawrence Cager, Corey Davis, Jonathan Marshall, Foley Fatukasi, Bless Austin and Blake Cashman;
  • Carl Lawson practiced in front of the media for the first time;
  • Zach Wilson had his best day so far in an open practice, opening up with a deep completion to Elijah Moore, who beat Bryce Hall and made a diving catch;
  • He followed this up by hitting Braxton Berrios over the middle and Keelan Cole downfield;
  • Jason Pinnock and Michael Carter II were getting first team reps at cornerback along with Hall;
  • In 7-on-7's Wilson hit on a couple of short passes but was almost intercepted by Jarrad Davis;
  • Moore also made an impressive fingertip grab on a Mike White throw;
  • Wilson put together a good drive in an 11-on-11 scrimmage situation, hitting Berrios a few more times;
  • Denzel Mims had a couple of catches but also two drops;
  • CJ Mosley broke up another pass; and
  • Moore closed out practice with another touchdown from Wilson in 7-on-7's.
