Jets select D'Angelo Ponds with the 50th pick in the 2026 draft

With their fourth pick of the 2026 draft, the Jets (having moved back from 44 to 50, picking up a fourth rounder in the process) selected D'Angelo Ponds, a cornerback from Indiana.

More in-depth analysis on this pick to follow...

Ponds is undersized but he's a fantastic athlete and was a shutdown corner on the outside for the national champions last year. In the article earlier this morning, we compared Ponds - who had seven interceptions in his three-year college career, and led the Big Ten with 11 pass breakups - to Aaron Glenn.

As things stand, the next Jets' next pick is not until tomorrow, when they have three fourth rounders. However, they could do something similar to yesterday and trade back in at the end of the third and make another selection today. We'll update you here if they do, otherwise we'll be back tomorrow...
