Jets Training Camp Practice Recap - 7/24/25

Media were in attendance again today for the Jets' practice.

The big story today was that quarterback Justin Fields limped to the sideline with an injury about an hour into practice and was carted off the field. After practice, Aaron Glenn confirmed that it's a right toe injury but was not sure of the severity.

Due to the focus/concern surrounding the injury, other updates were sparse, but here's what else went down according to those on hand:

  • Prior to the injury, Fields had been sacked by a combination of Andre Cisco and either Micheal Clemons or Will McDonald on the first play of team drills, threw incomplete on a deep ball to Arian Smith and had a pass broken up by Quincy Williams;
  • Tyrod Taylor completed a 25-yard pass down the field to Brandon Smith who made a good catch as he went to ground;
  • Brady Cook, who is struggling, threw an early interception to Jarius Monroe;
  • The Jets abandoned the team period and went to a special teams drill after the Fields injury;
  • Adrian Martinez had a couple of good throws in 7-on-7's but Cook had a couple more misfires; and
  • Taylor connected twice with Garrett Wilson, including one for 20+ down the seam working against Sauce Gardner.
