Jets Training Camp Practice Recap - 7/26/25

Media and fans were in attendance today for the Jets' practice. Here's what went down according to those on hand:

  • After missing practice yesterday, Justin Fields participated in individual drills and 7-on-7 but missed the 11-on-11 drills;
  • Tyrod Taylor had an early highlight with a deep completion to Josh Reynolds, over Sauce Gardner;
  • Breece Hall had a drop in individuals and a fumble in team drills;
  • Gardner impressed in a tackling drill with two open field stops on Garrett Wilson, then opened the next team session with a pass breakup against Reynolds;
  • Azareye'h Thomas intercepted Brady Cook as he made a good break on the ball;
  • Braelon Allen took a short pass from Cook for a long touchdown;
  • Dymere Miller had a nice contested catch and Malachi Corley also had a catch with the threes;
  • Payton Page made a big impact by blowing up a few runs and creating pressure as Leander Wiegand was struggling against him;
  • Fields' first pass in 7-on-7 was a slant to Wilson and then he hit an open Tyler Johnson downfield for a touchdown as he beat Tony Adams;
  • Fields began 6-for-6 as he added completions to Wilson again, Brandon Smith, Arian Smith and Allen, who made a one-handed catch;
  • He ended up 8-for-9 as Arian Smith was ruled out of bounds on the sideline for the only incompletion;
  • Taylor was intercepted by Jarrick Bernard-Converse on his first play as he wrestled the ball away from Brandon Smith;
  • Jamaal Pritchett had another good day with the backups including a tough 20-yard grab from Taylor;
  • Isaiah Davis had a bad drop in the open field;
  • Cook hit Gipson downfield for a 20-something gain;
  • Will McDonald beat Armand Membou on a spin move for a sack and then bull rushed and drove him to the ground for another impressive sack;
  • Taylor's two minute drill to end practice concluded with a field goal attempt after a third down throw-away. The best play on the drive was a catch and run by Hall; and
  • Caden Davis and Harrison Mevis both went 9-for-10 over two kicking sessions and then Mevis finished off the Taylor drive with a 29-yard field goal.

Note: The Jets are off tomorrow but scheduled to return (in pads) on Monday.
