Open thread: Texans at Chiefs

Coming up tonight, it's the NFL season opener:

Titans at Chiefs - 8:00 p.m. ET

Back in January, the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs faced the Houston Texans in the playoffs. Houston took a stunning 21-0 first quarter lead, but the Chiefs exploded for four season quarter touchdowns and eventually won easily, 51-31.

It's the battle of the newly extended quarterbacks as Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson were given deals worth a combined $634 million during the offseason.

The Texans made some head-scratching moves during the offseason, including trading away Nuk Hopkins but then bringing in Brandin Cooks to replace him. Kansas City kept their Super Bowl winning offense together for the most part, although Kelechi Osemele has been brought in to replace Laurent Duvernay-Tardif after the starting guard dropped out. Rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire will make his debut for the Chiefs.

On defense, we'll see two of the league's best defensive linemen; JJ Watt and Chris Jones. Jones was another player that signed a big extension in the offseason and now earns about $5 million more per year than Watt.

WHO YA GOT?
