Postgame: Jets drop another, as Falcons hang on for 25-20 win

Another competitive effort for the Jets once again saw them fall just short in rainy conditions at the Jumbo Slinky. The Jets were right in the game throughout the fourth quarter but two missed field goals, a muffed punt and a few other key moments allowed the Falcons to escape with a five-point win.

The Jets once again struggled to run the ball, relying instead on an efficient performance from Josh McCown, who threw two touchdown passes. Robby Anderson had the first 100-yard game of his career and Muhammad Wilkerson had his first sack of the season, but the Falcons executed well enough to get the win, despite four fumbled snaps by Matt Ryan.

The Jets, now 3-5, face the Bills on Thursday night looking to avenge their opening day loss. The Bills improved to 5-2 today with a comfortable win over the Raiders.
