Practice Recap: 5/29/24
Media was on hand for the Jets' second on-field OTA session today. Here's what went down according to those on hand:
- Breece Hall was in the rehab area along with Irvin Charles;
- Quinnen Williams and John Simpson were back in drills;
- Malachi Corley left practice with a slight limp and was working over at the side with a trainer;
- Carter Warren was working with the first unit with Morgan Moses still absent;
- Aaron Rodgers completed his first three passes with two dump-offs to Tyler Conklin and Isaiah Davis and a diving Garrett Wilson catch over the middle;
- New signing Tarik Cohen was in action, and picked up good yardage on an outside toss play with the second unit;
- Rodgers hit Kenny Yeboah down the seam with Chuck Clark in coverage;
- Allen Lazard had a drop over by the sideline for Rodgers' first incompletion;
- Tyrod Taylor connected with Lance McCutcheon on a 50-yard bomb for a touchdown;
- Zaire Barnes made a good play on a short pass to Zack Kuntz;
- In one-on-one drills, Will McDonald had some success against Warren but was stifled by Tyron Smith;
- Davis and Braelon Allen each broke a nice run;
- On the third unit, Andrew Peasley connected deep with Hamze El-Zayat;
- DJ Reed broke up a potential 30-yard touchdown pass from Rodgers to Wilson;
- Qwan'tez Stiggers made a good play in coverage against Lazard;
- Quincy Williams broke up a red zone pass intended for Yeboah;
- Lazard, who had just one catch in five targets, had another drop in the red zone period. Rodgers ended up 11 for 17; and
- Taylor ended practice with a touchdown pass to Kuntz at the pylon.
