Practice Recap: 6/9/23

Media was on hand for the Jets' on-field OTA session today. Here's what went down according to those on hand:

• Mecole Hardman, Randall Cobb, Breece Hall, Bam Knight, Tyler Conklin, Kenny Yeboah, Mekhi Becton and Micheal Clemons were among those working over by the side;
• CJ Uzomah pulled up lame after apparently hurting his leg during early positional drills. He limped off the field;
• The Jets opened practice with Billy Turner at left tackle and Max Mitchell on the right. The interior line was the same as last year's opening day starters (Laken Tomlinson, Connor McGovern, Alijah Vera-Tucker);
• Garrett Wilson made a nice catch down the seam from Tim Boyle;
• Aaron Rodgers through a nice deep ball to Xavier Gipson but he couldn't come up with it;
• Rodgers hit Wilson with a tight window throw working against Deuce Carter;
• Ashtyn Davis forced a fumble on Zack Kuntz;
• Bryce Hall broke up a Zach Wilson pass intended for Garrett Wilson in the end zone;
• Jason Brownlee made a one-handed catch from Wilson for a touchdown;
• Kuntz, Irvin Charles and Jerome Kapp also had productive practices;
• In a situational 11-on-11 drill, Rodgers hit Gipson on a deep over route and Wilson to set up a field goal; and
• Jeff Ulbrich beat Nate Hackett in a field goal kicking competition.
