Practice Recap - 7/25/19

The Jets were back on the field for their first practice of training camp this morning. Here's what went down according to social media reports from those in attendance:

  • Brian Winters was absent because his wife gave birth to his son so Tom Compton worked at right guard with the first unit;
  • The passing game looked pretty good, with Jamison Crowder standing out, although Daniel Brown and Josh Bellamy dropped passes;
  • The Jets had some success on short passes to Elijah McGuire, Quincy Enunwa, Ty Montgomery, Le'Veon Bell and Jeff Smith;
  • On defense, Rontez Miles, Arthur Maulet and Blake Cashman all got first team reps;
  • Frankie Luvu had a pick-six on a Davis Webb pass, while Foley Fatukasi batted down a pass at the line and Mark Myers Jr. broke one up; and
  • Chandler Catanzaro missed a couple of field goals.

We'll update you later if there are any announced roster moves or newsworthy comments after practice.
