QuickFix: Jets drop one to the Eagles and now the cuts begin

The Jets led for most of tonight's game but finally gave up their first touchdown on defense of the preseason with just 18 seconds left and lost 10-9.

The Jets forced four turnovers but were outgained by almost 200 yards as they allowed Joe Callahan to lead a 68-yard drive in the closing stages.

We'll have much more on this game tomorrow. For now, though, we're going to start focusing on the final cuts. We'll keep updating the following image as news of the final cuts leak out.

The color coding is as follows:

Green - Players we assume are locks to be on the 53

Yellow - Players who we assume will be cut

Red - Players who have been confirmed as cut or waived/injured

Pink - Players who are suspended on opening day

Blue - PUP list (Rontez Miles is the only eligible player)

(As a reminder, if the Jets want to put a player like Elijah McGuire onto injured reserve to potentially be activated later in the season, they need to keep him on the roster after the final cuts, but then can move him onto injured reserve the next day, at which point the team will presumably need to clear a spot or spots for any player(s) they claim on waivers).

If a player is not color-coded, their status is considered up in the air. Obviously if a yellow gets kept or a green gets cut or traded, we'll change their color in the next update, but we'll mostly be changing those yellows to reds and confirming whether the rest are greens or reds.

If you disagree with our color-coding for any of the above players, let us know in the comments. We've leaned towards leaving it open-ended unless it's really obvious.

We'll be sharing our in-depth analysis on the game first thing in the morning, so we can focus on cuts during the day.
