Roster News: Jets re-sign DT Thomas
The Jets have brought back another of their own free agents:
Veteran DL Solomon Thomas is signing back with the #Jets on a one-year deal worth up to $3.9 million, per source.

This was an important move for the team, especially with Nathan Shepherd leaving for New Orleans. The Jets were keen to bring Thomas, who finished the season strong, back for 2023.
The team has also been targeting veterans to potentially start alongside Quinnen Williams with Fletcher Cox reportedly turning them down to stay with the Eagles but Thomas may also be keen to compete for a bigger role after a strong finish to the 2022 season.
The base value of this deal is apparently $2.3 million, so the rest is presumably playing-time based incentives.
