Roster News: CJ Mosley to IR; Jets bring back DB Bennett Jackson

This was inevitable once the Jets dropped their eighth game of the year on Sunday:

Mosley, who signed a five year, $85 million contract in the offseason only played in two games all season due to a groin injury. One was the season opener where the Jets led 16-3 when he was injured at the end of the third quarter and went on to lose 17-16 to the Bills. The other was the 33-0 shutout loss to New England where it soon became apparent he was not fully recovered. Hopefully he can contribute at 100 percent next season.

Jackson was claimed off waivers by the Jets after cutdown day and spent two weeks on their 53-man roster and then another four on their practice squad before being signed off it by the Ravens. The 28-year old, fifth year veteran finally made his NFL debut in October. In all, he has played four games this year and made five tackles, including two on special teams.
