Roster News: Edoga to IR, six added to active roster

The Jets have made their roster moves ahead of Sunday:

We've activated P Braden Mann and OL Conor McDermott.

We've placed OL Chuma Edoga on IR.

We've elevated TE Kenny Yeboah, FB Nick Bawden, DE Hamilcar Rashed and DE Ronnie Blair.

Jabari Zuniga was active the past two weeks after Bryce Huff got injured and had a key sack against the Bengals so it is surprising to see them bringing up some different defensive ends for backup purposes. Blair maybe gives the Jets' run defense some steel after they struggled in the Colts game and Rashed will presumably get some situational rush reps in his NFL debut.

Yeboah has only played one game this year but with Daniel Brown traded and Tyler Kroft on injured reserve, the undrafted rookie should now get a chance. This also creates room for Bawden, with Trevon Wesco perhaps now returning to more of a tight end role.

While Mann's return was expected, McDermott makes his return just in time to give the Jets some short term cover while Edoga is out. Hopefully Mekhi Becton will return soon anyway.

Denzel Mims and Jason Pinnock remain on Covid-19 reserve, which is why the Jets were able to elevate four players from the practice squad instead of the usual two.
