Roster News: Hager and Jackson added to active roster

The Jets made a few moves:

Hager has been activated off the practice squad for special teams duties the past two weeks and the Jets obviously need extra cover after having traded Avery Williamson.

Jackson has been on and off the roster a few times since the start of last season and the Jets need depth at safety with McDougald on injured reserve. Here's his scouting report.

Murray was needed for temporary cover while there were a few injuries but the Jets are healthier now so he was surplus to requirements. They still have nine offensive linemen on the active roster.

Finch is a linebacker who has racked up 40 tackles and 3.5 sacks in two NFL seasons. He played defensive end in college where he registered 8.5 sacks in his senior year. Finch started three games last season.

Campbell has yet to make his NFL debut although he saw action in four preseason games at safety with the Browns in 2018. He ran a 4.40 and posted a 39-inch vertical at his pro day.

Hampton was a sixth round pick for the Saints last year but he played in just five games as a rookie. He again played safety and recorded one tackle.
