Roster News: Jets add five to injured reserve, re-sign four including Farley

The Jets have confirmed which players are going onto injured reserve and the players being added back to the active roster:

While Farley's return was not reported by anyone, the Jets only had three safeties on their 53 before today so we had surmised he would be likely to return.

If they're two men down at the wide receiver position, the Jets will probably protect at least one of their practice squad receivers tomorrow and bring one or two up on Sunday. Donte Moncrief and Josh Malone are probably the main candidates.

It's obviously good news that neither Denzel Mims nor Breshad Perriman were added to injured reserve. They'll presumably get most of the reps on Sunday along with Jamison Crowder and Chris Hogan.

The Jets are a little undermanned at the inside linebacker position, although Harvey Langi can play there at a pinch. With a spot open both on their practice squad and the active roster, they might also consider bringing James Burgess back for potential activation as cover.

The Jets should have adequate depth on the edge and offensive line to cope without the two rookies, both of whom probably would have been a candidate to be inactive anyway.
