Roster News: Jets add Mitchell, Smart and Surratt to active roster for Sunday's game

The Jets have confirmed their roster moves ahead of Sunday's game:

We've activated OL Max Mitchell.

Additionally, we've elevated LB Chazz Surratt and DL Tanzel Smart for tomorrow's game.

Mitchell's activation gives the Jets an eighth lineman and takes the open spot that became available when Marcell Harris was released. Surratt has been elevated to fill Harris' spot on the gameday roster.

Smart filled in well for the injured Sheldon Rankins last week so his activation was a no-brainer again with only three defensive linemen on the 53.

We half-suspected the Jets might look to activate Chris Streveler this week. However, that will have to wait.
