Roster News: Jets announce 13 practice squad signings

The Jets have announced 12 players who will be on their initial practice squad. All of these came from Tuesday's cuts:

QB Chris Streveler
WR Tarik Black
WR Irvin Charles
TE Kenny Yeboah
T Chris Glaser
T Grant Hermanns
DL Bradlee Anae
DL Jonathan Marshall
DL Tanzel Smart
LB Hamsah Nasirildeen
LB DQ Thomas
S Will Parks

The following players have not (yet) been re-signed to the practice squad but still could be with the spots remaining:

DE Jabari Zuniga
LB Marcell Harris
OL Ross Pierschbacher
RB Tevin Coleman
WR Calvin Jackson (now signed, see below)
T Conor McDermott

The veterans McDermott, Coleman or Harris could be re-signed to the main roster today having not needed to clear waivers. Of these three, we're told McDermott is definitely coming back.

However, they also looked further afield - this one hasn't been announced yet:

Surratt was a third round pick out of North Carolina last season but only played on special teams in his nine appearances with the Vikings during his rookie year. Surratt lacks size but has good athletic numbers, including a sub-4.6 40-yard dash.

UPDATE: One late addition, which the Jets have now also announced:

UPDATE 2: Another late addition, this time a player the Jets had earlier on in the summer but let go after just a few days:

This likely won't be final iteration, as the team will likely make a few changes in the days to come, but the practice squad will be more important than ever this year with IR returns limited to just eight all season and practice squad members allowed to be elevated three times instead of two.
