Roster News: Jets announce UDFA signings and corresponding cuts
The Jets had to make several moves to fit the undrafted free agents into the 90-man roster:
We have released CB Kyron Brown, TE Connor Davis, OL Leo Koloamatangi, K Chase McLaughlin, WR Jaleel Scott and WR Josh Doctson. Additionally, we've placed S Saquan Hampton on Reserve/PUP.

They also confirmed their undrafted free agent signings, with a list which corresponds exactly to the 12 names we reported in our UDFA tracker on Saturday night:
We've signed 12 undrafted free agents.

Of the players released, Chase McLaughlin might be the biggest surprise. The undrafted Chris Naggar will now compete with Sam Ficken to be the number one kicker, although it's possible the eventual kicker isn't yet on the roster.
Scott was the only player released who saw action last season. Koloamatangi and Doctson had each opted out of the season due to concerns over the Covid-19 pandemic.
Hampton being placed on reserve/PUP ends his season but his contract will toll and he'll be back next year. He tore his Achilles in his first game as a Jet near the end of last season, so this perhaps isn't surprising.
