Roster News: Jets claim CB Brown, waive WR Henderson

The Jets made the Alex Lewis trade official (pending a physical) but that wasn't the only move they made today:

We've acquired G Alex Lewis in a trade, pending a physical.



We also have claimed CB Alex Brown and waived WR Quadree Henderson.

Henderson was a candidate to win the return specialist role, but wasn't even listed on the official depth chart released today.

Brown was recently released by Philadelphia but actually has no connection to Joe Douglas because they picked him up after Douglas took the Jets job. He's an undrafted rookie from small school South Carolina State and ran 4.44 at his pro day. This would be a bottom end of the roster move that won't affect the starters or main rotation.
