Roster News: Jets claim G Herbig
The Jets have not yet finished retooling their offensive line:
The #Jets have claimed former #Eagles G Nate Herbig, per league source.

Herbig is still only 23 and Joe Douglas was still in the Eagles organization when they picked him up as an undrafted free agent. After barely playing in his rookie year, he started 12 games in 2020 and five in 2021, albeit due to injuries to other players.
He had played both guard spots and even had some action at center. In almost 1,400 offensive snaps for his career, Herbig has given up three sacks and had nine penalties.
Herbig, who was given an RFA tender this year, so the Jets will inherit the one-year, $2.4 million deal, will likely compete with Greg Van Roten to be the primary reserve at guard.
