Roster News: Jets add Holmes, McCrary-Ball and Newman to the roster

The Jets announced their roster moves ahead of Sunday's game:

Roster moves:

- Signed OL Xavier Newman to the active roster
- Placed LB Zaire Barnes on IR
- Elevated DL Jalyn Holmes and LB Marcelino McCrary-Ball

The Jets obviously need four interior linemen for their rotation so Holmes will be in that role again on Sunday.

The McCrary-Ball elevation is surprising though because even with Barnes going on IR, the Jets still have five healthy bodies.

The Newman signing could signify that Joe Tippmann (listed as questionable) is a worry or might just mean that they'd rather activate him than Austin Deculus.
