Roster News: Jets elevate Martinez and Brown, activate Jones and place Thomas on IR

The Jets have announced their pre-game roster moves for Sunday in Jacksonville:

We’ve placed CB Azareye’h Thomas on injured reserve and activated LB Cam Jones.



We also elevated QB Adrian Martinez and DB Tre Brown from the practice squad for tomorrow’s game.

This ends Thomas' season, which was promising although his durability may be a bit of a concern as he was banged-up multiple times.

Obviously the Martinez move was inevitable with Brady Cook being the only healthy quarterback on the 53-man roster. Secondary help was also needed due to the Thomas injury and they needed a fifth linebacker with Kiko Mauigoa out.
