Roster News: Jets elevate Sanders and Reeder, place Cooper on IR

The Jets have announced their roster moves ahead of this weekend's game:

We already knew Sanders would kick again as Aaron Glenn confirmed this yesterday. However, there was a question over whether any of the four receivers on the practice squad would be needed with Cooper out. Since they did not elevate one, you can probably expect more heavy sets on offense.

Reeder will make his Jets debut, restoring the Jets to five active off-ball linebackers after they played the opener with just four.

The Jets will need six inactives on Sunday, which will obviously include Blake Grupe and the three players ruled out (Kene Nwangwu, Joseph Ossai and Minkah Fitzpatrick). Linebacker Trevin Wallace was inactive last week so is a good bet to be again. However, D'Angelo Ponds will be active this week so the Jets will probably need to make another defensive back inactive.

Cooper heading to IR is disappointing but it sounds like he is expected back in a month or so.

The Packers have also announced their moves.
