Roster News: Jets elevate Sanders, place Patrick on IR

The Jets have announced their roster moves ahead of Sunday's game:

Aaron Glenn announced yesterday that Sanders would kick for the Jets, despite having had his place on the active roster taken by Blake Grupe after final cuts. Presumably he kicked better than Grupe this week, perhaps because he has better chemistry with the holder and long snapper.

Sanders can be elevated two more times before the Jets will be forced to decide whether to sign him back onto the active roster.

Patrick will miss at least four weeks but might have been a healthy scratch even if he wasn't injured so hopefully that's not a major loss. The Jets will have an open roster spot which they will presumably fill on Monday or Tuesday.
