Roster News: Jets place 3 on IR, sign 4 to active roster, elevate 2

The Jets have made their roster moves ahead of the final game:

Roster moves:

- Signed RB Xazavian Valladay, LB Marcelino McCrary-Ball, OL Chris Glaser and DL Bruce Hector to the active roster
- Placed QB Zach Wilson, OL Jake Hanson and TE Jeremy Ruckert on IR
- Elevated FB Nick Bawden and K Austin Seibert for tomorrow's game

Moving these players up while there's room available due to players who obviously can't play this weekend being able to be placed on injured reserve doesn't necessarily mean they'll even play on Sunday. However, it gives them a little reward (a full game check) for their work this season and enables them to sign a deal that runs through 2024 (and possibly also 2025) instead of having to negotiate a futures deal after the season.

Hector should be back in the rotation and Valladay will be the third running back with Dalvin Cook now gone but the others might not even be active.

Seibert has presumably been elevated as cover for Greg Zuerlein, although he wasn't on the injury report this week. Both Bawden and Seibert will need to re-sign with the team after the season to return in 2024.
